Regrettably, Dr. Cass answers his own question:
Quote:
I think the "Christian" part was only incidental. Unfortunately, young black men kill each other in the streets of our nation every day, but unless there's a white victim involved, the media does not seem to care. If the police have established that Woody was the murderer, they have not reported why he killed them. Even I don't think preachers should be shot just for preaching! A little research has found that Ocean, one of the victims, had had a police record. Woody, the accused killer, had none. Also, the shootings took place after Woody had taken a call on his cell phone. Was it Satan calling, telling him to do it? Not according to this article. The victims had been accompanied by a third man, who was not shot. What he told the police regarding that phone call adds a new dimension to this story. It's just possible that this was a killing related to Ocean's past; in fact, I doubt it would have been more than a Page Three story in the national papers if it weren't for the fact that the victims were Christian street preachers. Christians often seem to forget: Christ may save your soul for eternity, but if you did wrong, you still gotta pay the price here.
